My journey from Coach to Certified Coach

I have coached college students, peers, leaders, friends, athletes, professionals, and teams for over 20 years. It’s my passion. You could say it is what I am meant to do. Coaching has always been a part of my roles, both at work and in my personal life, because I loved supporting others and seeing them flourish and move past their “sticking” points and onto their “ah ha’s.” About two years ago, I started to see that I could make my passion my full-time focus. At this time, I realized that it was important to me to distinguish myself in the profession as a trained, dedicated coach. I took action to push myself outside what I knew and expand my coaching skills to best serve my clients.

Today, I have completed a rigorous accredited coach training program through the Academy for Coaching Excellence and completed my Associate Certified Coach designation through the International Coaching Federation. This journey has been intense and full of exploration and learning, not only in how I engage with and support my clients but also in how to approach my own life. With over 140 hours of training, written and oral assessments, evaluated coaching demonstrations, over 130 hours of documented coaching, case studies, consistent peer coach and mentoring support, and much more, I am confident that I can continue to support my clients who choose me as their coach.

My roles and experiences in my tenure, in the corporate world and as an entrepreneur, provide an excellent source of compassion, relevance, and real scenarios as I support my clients in their own challenges and growth. My deep coaching experience and training have given me the tools, structure, and principles to support my clients to help them reach their goals. My clients can depend on me to continue developing my coaching experience and skills as I work toward my PCC and MCC and dedicate myself to this craft.

Are you clear on your passions? Are you ready to seek them out and focus on those passions that bring you joy and fulfillment? Another way to look at it, what are you playing for in this life and what are you willing to do to make that a reality? As you consider these questions and really look to see, you may surprise yourself. I’m right here to support you when you are willing and ready!
